Big, bigger, biggest mistakes
A big mistake is the team never asking leadership “why?” when they’re told to do something and genuinely believe it isn’t a good use of time. (Wouldn’t any good leader want the team spending their time well?)
A bigger mistake is leadership never asking the team, “Is this idea a good use of your time? It’s what I think we might do next, but I might be wrong.”
The biggest mistake is leadership never creating a culture where they don’t even have to ask the team. The team feels empowered—every last person regardless of title—to speak up and speak the truth.
