"Put in the reps" makes sense, but what are reps in creative work? || Unthinkable #148

"Put in the reps!" we hear. Amen, we think.

"Do a lot of reps," they tell us. I mean, yeah... we acknowledge.

"Ship the work. If it doesn't ship, it doesn't count." Reps. I heard you. Reps. I'm with you.

But...

Um...

In creative work, what the heck is a rep?

How do we find ours? And use them? And what do they DO for us, really?

In a new episode of Unthinkable, we hear stories from visual artist Matthew Zaremba, who uses a tiny repeatable practice to have a profound impact on the lives of others (and his own life). Plus, we meet a guide into this whole idea of “reps,” who helps us define how to extract our own reps from our existing creative processes. He’s a Grammy nominated music educator, jazz trumpet player, and CrossFit coach Kevin Mazzarella.

One of my favorite pairs of guests we've ever had on the show.
